Trump says inflation could shrink the U.S. debt “very rapidly.”
His plan: print dollars, buy real assets, let prices soar, and inflate away the $40 trillion debt.

Trump points at the CNN press pen in Ohio and the entire arena erupts. "The fake news, like CNN sitting right there, the fake news doesn't want to write about it." Boos, thumbs down and chants, and the President just lets it roll.
BREAKING:
Big week ahead for the US. Lighter on data, heavier on risk events.
Monday: ISM Services PMI at 10 AM ET. Forecast near 55.
Last week's composite PMI hit 58.4. Hot services data pushes yields higher.
Wednesday: September FOMC minutes at 2 PM ET.
They won't include Friday's weak jobs data. The minutes cover the meeting where the Fed hiked unanimously.
The Fed's own projections showed a "strong consensus" for just one more hike in 2026.
Wednesday and Thursday: 10-year and 30-year Treasury auctions.
Both now sit under the expanded buyback program.
Last month's buyers' strike made these the real test. Weak demand sends yields higher.
Thursday: jobless claims. Forecast near 200,000.
Friday: University of Michigan consumer sentiment. Last reading hit 48.1.
Conference Board confidence already hit its lowest since 2014.
Fed speakers all week.
Williams, Bowman, Logan, Musalem, Collins.
Next week: CPI on October 14. First big inflation read before the October 27-28 FOMC.
The setup going in:
Goldman expects one more hike in December, maybe none.
The 10-year sits near 5.24%. The 30-year hit 5.50% last week.
Nasdaq futures positioning hit its most bullish level since 2017.
Bitcoin trades above $85,000.
Iran headlines can break any of this.
Trump said Thursday Iran will "sign a deal or not exist."
Four events decide the week: the minutes, two auctions, and the oil price.
Today is October 5, 2026 - the border is CLOSED, the streets are SAFER, we’re BUILDING things in America again, and Donald J. Trump is the President of the United States of America. 🇺🇸
The Democrat-led January 6 Committee claimed its investigation was legitimate, yet evidence wasn’t fully preserved. If Trump was truly guilty, every record would have been saved.
Time to prosecute the committee.

Typical, bureaucratic Washington loves to tell you there's nothing left to cut. Then you read a case like this. $65 million in Medicaid money was billed for adult day care and home health services that never happened. Kickbacks were paid to recruit patients. Claims were filed for people who were out of the country.
This is progress, and it’s good to see the crack down on waste, fraud, and abuse continue.

The Justice Department says a new report found the department went too far in its response to parents who spoke out at school board meetings during the Biden administration.
@markpmeredith reports that the review examined Attorney General Merrick Garland’s 2021 memo directing the FBI to coordinate with local authorities over threats against school officials. It also cited internal concerns that the effort could appear political and interfere with parents’ rights and free speech.
The DOJ says it is now offering up to $1 million to educate school staff about parents’ rights.
