The recent X revenue share payout appears to be tied to the platform’s latest monetization update. This aligns with the visible changes creators have noticed: fluctuations in earnings, stricter enforcement, and more emphasis on content quality.

Subject: Request to Reconsider the $30 Minimum Payout Threshold and Earnings Rollover Policy for X Creators

Dear @elonmusk and the X Creator Revenue Team @XCreators,

I am writing as a dedicated Nigerian creator who values the platform's commitment to empowering content makers worldwide.

While I appreciate the efforts to sustain the creator revenue sharing program, the current $30 minimum payout threshold, combined with the policy of resetting earnings to zero if the threshold is not met within the payout cycle (such as every two weeks) poses a significant challenge, particularly for emerging creators in regions like Africa.

Many of us consistently produce high-quality content but earn below this amount in shorter cycles due to factors beyond our control, including lower regional ad rates and limited algorithmic reach. Resetting accumulated earnings rather than rolling them over feels counterproductive and discouraging, as it effectively nullifies genuine effort and progress toward payout.

A more equitable approach would be to either:

- Revert to the previous $10 minimum threshold, or
- Maintain the $30 threshold while allowing earnings to accumulate and rollover across cycles until the minimum is reached.

Additionally, the algorithm continues to underperform in promoting quality African content to broader audiences, which directly impacts monetization potential for creators in this region. Addressing this visibility gap would greatly benefit global diversity on the platform.

I respectfully urge the team to review these policies with the goal of making monetization more inclusive and sustainable for all creators, regardless of geography.
