With a growing demand for critical minerals, mining also provides an opportunity for the territory to play a significant role in the clean energy transition.
Our government remains committed to supporting a strong, sustainable and responsible mining industry.
Last week, I joined Premier @RanjPillai1 at the Association for Mineral Exploration’s (AME) Roundup conference and the Vancouver Resource Investment Conference.
Roundup provides an opportunity to have face-to-face meetings with industry representatives and First Nations governments to showcase why our territory ranks as one of the most desirable mining jurisdictions in the world.
(3/3) I look forward to continued work here at home and with our federal counterparts as we continue to develop a greener mining industry across the North.

(2/3) On Friday, I met with federal Minister of Energy and Natural Resources @JonathanWNV
alongside Yukon MP @drbrendanhanley and our Minister of Energy, Mines and Resources @JohnStreicker in Vancouver. We were also joined by a number of industry partners.
(1/3) Across the Yukon, there is incredible work being done by Yukon First Nations, municipalities, businesses, industry and Yukoners to address climate change. It is critically important that we all take action now to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions.
(2/3) Through our collective action we can make the transitions to a green economy, adapt and build resilience. Together, we have an opportunity to reach our long-term goal of being net-zero by 2050 and leaving a cleaner, better future for all Yukoners.
I was pleased to meet with my friend @stbstvdan while in Ottawa this week for Yukon Days. Our government’s relationship with Minister Vandal is strong, and we appreciate his commitment to ensuring we can partner on building, preserving and promoting the Yukon.
La Semaine nationale de l’immigration francophone a lieu chaque année en novembre. Elle est une occasion de souligner l’importante contribution sociale, culturelle et économique des personnes immigrantes d’expression française au Yukon.
(3/3) Like the Yukon itself, their repertoire is a mix of everything: folk, blues, country, rock, jazz - you name it, they put a classic Canucks spin on it.
We'll forever remember how the North danced to their beat.
(2/3) Made up of Ray Park on piano, Red Lewis on drums, and Ed Isaak on bass, for over six decades the Canucks have been a bedrock of the Yukon's music scene - a longevity that puts them in the same league as the Rolling Stones!
