Had an interesting experience yesterday. Wanted to test drive a car at a garage and thought I’d do as much of the form filling before leaving home. I had to provide my driving license no. I filled in the number and I was invited (?) to have the government provide a verification number - for that I also had to provide my N.I number and tick a box which gave my consent to have different Gov depts access to my data… I don’t think so! I just want to test drive a car - why do I need to provide my N.I number? Could it be another slippery slope to digital I.D?

Tax, tax, tax. It’s all Labour know, it’s all Labour do. Now we potentially have 2 more, 1 for sure. There will be a 22% across the board tax on an interest earned from cash in stocks & shares ISA’s. Bear in mind this is money you have invested that you already paid income tax on and put into an ISA because you were told it was tax free. Then there is a strong suggestion that when Burnham comes in he will immediately put up Capital Gains Tax to match income tax. Thus killing any incentive or motivation to invest in or grow your assets.

Tax is there for one reason only. To make the country function well and better people’s lives. We have the highest taxes ever now….but look around you. I defy you to find a single solitary piece of your life or this country that those taxes have improved!!! My advice is….find legal ways to pay as little as you possibly can!!

- 0.04% of the atmosphere is carbon dioxide. Once we drop below 0.02% plants will start dying.

- Of that 0.04%, 97% of that is made up of natural emissions (gas released from tectonic shifts, historic volcanic, eruptions etc)

- 3% of that 0.04% is made up of human contribution.

- Of that 3% of 0.04% Britain contributes 1%.
