Enough has been enough from first day a man was shipped into a women's prison.
There is no reason at all for men to be imprisoned with women.
Men's personal issues have nothing to do with women & they should not be foisted upon women, especially not in enclosed, confined spaces.
It was a surprise to see the T069D family among the huge group that came in from the west on this day. They later broke off from the group and made their way along the Vancouver Island shoreline past Victoria. Matriarch T069D on the right, with her 13-year-old son, T069D1.
It's not so long ago academics, poets, women's groups, whoever, could simply hire a venue, put on an event, and - no matter how objectionable others may find their wares - just put on a sodding event with no issue and no fucking protest at all. Let's get back there, please.
A government funded literary magazine is calling for submissions that 'consolidates ‘Resistance’ as armed struggle.'
Mr. Omar, one of the inspirations for the project, said that “it stands to reason that if the outright intention had been to indiscriminately kill, the number of Israeli casualties in the initial days would probably have been significantly higher.”
I've watched the full footage. Mr. Omar is correct, the killing wasn't indiscriminate, it was systematic. It was also horrific with the goal of spreading terror.
I'm not sure if it was the person that was being decapitated with a butcher's knife, or if it was the pile of dead children still in their pajamas that was the most disturbing, put the purpose was clear.
Hamas's purpose was to kill everyone in the most horrible way possible, leave no one alive, and let the defiled corpses convey their message of terror.
Any effort to both glorify and justify barbaric acts of rape and murder should have professional consequences, legal consequences, and result in immediate government defunding of the publication.
What we permit in society is what we become. Believe me, this isn't what we want to become.

“Many so-called UN ‘human rights experts’ are funded by dictatorships, defend dictatorships, and attack the democracies they were meant to protect. They legitimize the very regimes they are meant to expose.”

Got this out yesterday. Yep, those censorious students are a pain, but the fact our elected representatives are repeating the same bs talking points is more troubling to me https://t.co/sGSYeeph2M
Fundamentally, the problem is not that Canada takes Islamophobia seriously. It should. The problem is when Canada gives seriousness, legitimacy, and public-policy weight to organizations whose representatives appear publicly wearing symbols that erase Israel.
A pin shaped like Israel, completely covered in a keffiyeh, says Jewish sovereignty is the problem. It says Jews out of the land.
And that is exactly the problem with how “anti-Palestinian racism” (APR) is being used: to delegitimize Jewish peoplehood, Jewish self-determination, and the existence of Israel itself.
Don’t get it twisted. A pin that covers the entire State of Israel in a keffiyeh is a symbol of elimination. And it should have no place in Canadian anti-racism spaces, government consultations, or public policy advocacy.
Your activism ends when it marks my peoplehood for elimination.

Thank you so much @glinner for writing this important article (linked below) about the way gender identity zealots single out gays and lesbians for abuse. Even the veteran gay rights campaigner @FredSargeant has been attacked by those claiming to be pro “trans rights.”
It is never entirely clear what “trans rights” means. But one thing is clear — “trans rights” activists are fundamentally hostile to gay men and lesbians — especially those of us who are determined to protect the rights we fought for many decades ago.
A confluence of events all came together in the early 2000's that would begin the process of antizionism's infiltration of Western institutions, as geopolitical lines were now redrawn no longer between “Capitalism” and “Communism,” but between “The West” and “Islam.” The Second Intifada erupted in 2000, involving countless murders against Israeli civilians, led by Islamist forces who were taking control of the Palestinian movement and re-activating the Nazi-Islamist lineage of antizionism. In 2001, the September 11th attacks occurred, demonstrating the spectacular power and force of jihadist anti-Western violence on the global stage. The UN Conference against Racism in South Africa, where Soviet antizionist libels of “Zionism is racism” and “Zionism is Nazism” were injected into the Western left and NGO system had concluded only days before the September 11 attacks. By 2005, the BDS movement had gotten off the ground, transforming the apartheid libel into an operationalizable movement to justify racial discrimination against Israelis.
💙💚🤍Have you met Monica ? Her art is incredible and I want to spread the word how much it compliments the landscape and is well known artist across Canada. Enjoy 🎨🖌️🖼️
This unqualified bore says his secondhand opinions are “not up for debate.” Yes they are. At a university all opinions are up for debate. If you cannot defend your opinions rationally, either they are indefensible or you are too stupid to defend them. In either case you have no right to force them on students who have expressed their wish to attend a lecture by doing so.

@edtchirp It's amazing how a person can be so oblivious to what's actually going on.
