Our senior lady, Dirce, is still fighting for her second chance in life. We wish things were easier for her. At this age she deserves a comfortable sofa, a lot of love, and good people caring for her during whatever time she has left.

We just lost Thayla. 🖤

She was unable to survive the severity of her condition. We had hoped to perform emergency surgery today to insert a feeding tube and give her a fighting chance, but her body simply couldn't hold on. Despite all our efforts, we were unable to stabilize her in time.

We rescued Thayla after she suffered an unimaginable trauma. We don't know exactly what happened… whether she was run over or if someone deliberately hurt her. What we do know is that her injuries were catastrophic.

Thayla had severe head trauma, a completely fractured and hanging jaw, nerve damage that left her unable to move her tongue, and a fractured nose. She couldn't eat, and her fragile body was unable to maintain blood pressure or blood sugar levels.

We fought to save her. We planned her emergency surgery for today to at least insert a feeding tube, but it was all too much for her. Her body gave out before we could proceed.

We're so sorry, Thayla, that we couldn't save you from all the suffering you endured. It breaks our hearts that we couldn't give you the chance to heal, to thrive, and to one day find a loving family. The only comfort we have is knowing that you're now free of pain, in a place where no harm can ever touch you again.

We just rescued five puppies in Brazil in heartbreaking condition. They were starving, dehydrated and infested with worms. These poor babies have endured so much and are now fighting for their lives.

This is absolutely horrific and heartbreaking at the same time!!!! These puppies are so hungry they are eating their dead sibling!!!! The family needs our help!!! We are here rescuing them now‼️‼️‼️

This mother and her babies are terrified and hiding under houses on a street. One of the babies was run over!! Another baby already died under a house, and its siblings have been eating it because they are starving to death!!! It's a heartbreaking situation!!! Mom is very malnourished too 😭😭😢💔

🚨‼️ They are all extremely scared, and it’s difficult to get them out since the access space is so small. We are making sure to get all of them…. No one will be left behind!

Beca’s injuries were not from the day of her rescue. The doctors think they were from at least 2 days ago, which means she has been suffering for several days with multiple fractures in the leg and pelvis, dead fetuses inside her, severe anemia and being almost sepsis. We are trying to stabilize her high infection levels, but there is still a risk.

On August 28th, 2023, we received a call for one of the most traumatizing rescues we ever had��. A disgusting, filthy man was sexually abusing Frida, a tiny dog, and the neighbor was able to catch him on video and use this as proof.

We had the police involved with Frida’s rescue, and the the man was arrested. Frida was in a state of panic, very fearful and shaking, and also had a very swollen vulva. There was also a tiny kitten named Bento at the residence, so we rushed them both to the hospital.

Frida needed an emergency blood transfusion and surgery, because she was very anemic and was critically injured internally from the abuse. She needed her damaged uterus removed asap.

Frida had experienced the most horrifying torture, but she still found the strength to overcome everything she endured, and she opened up to us and began to trust us.

September 4th was the day that her entire life changed for the better…. Frida was adopted into the most loving and nurturing home. Her new mom absolutely loves her and cherishes her. She always makes sure to give Frida all the cuddles she needs. Frida came such a long way, and she deserves the very best for the rest of her life.

Bento the kitten also found his very own home too. It did not take him long at all for him to find his family.

Our true miracle, Thor 🐴❤️

A beautiful transition from rescue to now: This horse was abused and neglected his entire life. He was beaten, starved, and tortured every single day. He literally went through hell. When we rescued him in September 2021 he was dying… he was a broken soul 💔

Now he lives in our sanctuary, where he probably will stay for the rest of his life. In the state we are located in Brazil, horses like him only serve to carry heavy weight on wagons until their last breath. Our horses and donkeys are not available for adoption in our state. We know that we cannot trust ANYONE in our area.

After almost 2 months of being hospitalized and being cared for by our equine vets 24/7, here is our Thor today…. living his best life!

He is respected and loved by all of us!!

He’s calmer and not so reactive anymore, and he’s been able to rest and sleep. 🙏 Chico is always hungry, poor thing… he was almost starved to death in the streets!!! Even with a missing chin and jawbones completely exposed, he still manages to eat his wet food on his own. 😭💔
