All Japan in the 1980s sadly had a lot of rookies quit wrestling early on. Hidetoshi Yamamoto, Takatoshi Takigawa and Naoki Takano come to mind when it comes to rookies retiring so soon. 😢

It's always sad when wrestlers retire so early in their careers, and it's so sad that they had to retire due to serious injuries...

@fergal_stack @roylucier '90s AJPW didn't really do really short 2 - 4 minute stuff. I can only recall a small handful matches they did under like, 6 minutes. 11 for a very young Kobashi vs a journeyman like Horowitz seems like business as usual for what would've been on an early '90s AJPW undercard.
