A favorite scene in Wolfeboro, with all those lovely colors piled up on the hill. That's a good church, too. I went there last Sunday!

"Wolfeboro's Leaf Pile", original watercolor on paper, 15 x 22", available for Christmas morning

From a black and white to a color painting, without AI. I've had my eye on this beautiful black and white photograph of Mast Landing, Wolfeboro. Here's a video showing the studies behind the final painting.

The value study beside the color study. Swipe to see the final painting that relies on both of these to turn a black-and-white photograph into a color watercolor painting.

@myWinnipesaukee I’ve gotta get back out there to paint this again now that I’m warmed up!

What fun to meet up with friends new and old as I painted next to Cate Park today. Wolfeboro was perfect, breezy showing off its charm. #pleinair #watercolor

When a family commissions me to paint all their sons! I love how you can see the difference between how a painting and how a photograph can hold a memory. Both have their place!

These boys are all in high school and college now.

Painting my neighbor's truck. It was a perfect scene to try to capture in a small sketch.

This is the little sailboat that started it all for my family. I still paint it. I still sell paintings of it. I still have the original 3 x 5" painting, a tiny treasure from 2017.

Find an artist you love, ask them to paint your favorite memories.

I’m standing on sheer granite cliffs overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee. But it's not about the lake.

I wanted to highlight that pond.

Hidden Gem, 7.5" x 11", original watercolor. SOLD this week to a collector. Get first access to all my paintings at my newsletter.

Painting outdoors at the Granite State Triathalon. I had the perfect spot tucked into a corner of Cary Beach, right next to a granite beach boundary marker. My friend medaled second. Go Kathryn!!
