@McFaul Is the US Speaker aware that he is adopting the Orwellian and Russian
distortion of the horrible realities of WAR:
Operation, special or limited?
In the end , war may turn into peace.
For anyone who would like to hear Mark Carney’s outstanding Davos speech in full here it is. This is what true global leadership looks like.
Canada should be immensely proud today, because they are leading the fight back when others dare not.

Historian Timothy Snyder knows better than most how Trump's bloody reign of terror is going to end. From Hitler and Mussolini to Nicolae Ceaușescu, what we are witnessing from America's pedophile führer is a deranged and desperate tyrant in the final act of his vile indecency. 👇
I study authoritarianism for a living, so I do not say this lightly: America isn't facing an authoritarian future. America is living an authoritarian present.

🤬 I FUCKING HATE that no one in the world reacts any more to massive drones/planes hitting into residential buildings and a load of women and children burning to death.
and you'll hear NOTHING about it in the news tomorrow.
RIP KYIV 💔😢
ICE agents killing people in the streets. The naked extortion of a sovereign state. The National Guard unleashed in American cities. The Justice Department weaponized to prosecute political opponents.
The tyranny is on full display — and it's waking America up.
Jesse Ventura responds to Minneapolis ICE shooting, says he may run for Governor again:
"We're a 3rd world country now!"
He calls Trump a "rich white boy" & asks if Sec. Noem has "ever met a person of color."
Let us be clear: the murder of sister Renee Good in Prince’s city—Minneapolis—is not an isolated incident. It is one more step toward American-style fascism! #Minneapolis#TruthJusticeLove
Steve Witkoff, a New York real estate billionaire and designated ambassador to the Middle East, said the following about Vladimir Putin in an interview with Tucker Carlson:
“I liked him. I found him honest with me… I don’t think he’s a bad guy.”
That’s not just naive. That’s morally repulsive and intellectually bankrupt.
The man Witkoff calls "not a bad guy" is responsible for:
- the large-scale war of aggression against Ukraine since 2014/2022
- over 1,000,000 estimated dead and wounded (Ukrainian and Russian sides combined)
- systematic war crimes: deportation of tens of thousands of Ukrainian children, mass executions in Bucha, Izyum, and Mariupol, targeted bombings of hospitals, maternity clinics, and residential areas
- the largest land war in Europe since 1945
- the use of torture prisons, rape as a weapon of war, cluster munitions in cities, the use of chemical weapons (confirmed by the OPCW)
- the destruction of entire cities like Mariupol (90% destroyed, tens of thousands of civilians killed)
- international arrest warrants issued by the ICC against Putin personally for the child deportations
And Steve Witkoff, the man Trump called The man who proposes a “special envoy” for the Middle East finds this war criminal “honest” and “not a bad guy” because Putin once had a friendly cup of tea with him.
This is precisely the kind of moral decay Stalin described back in 1937: “One dead man is a tragedy, a million dead are a statistic.” When you meet the mass murderer in person and he smiles charmingly at you, suddenly hundreds of thousands of mutilated children, raped women, and bombed-out cities are merely collateral damage.
With this statement, Witkoff not only disqualifies himself from any diplomatic post—he places himself in the long line of useful idiots and appeasers who preceded him, including Chamberlain, Daladier, and later, some Western businessmen. Anyone who describes a man wanted on an international arrest warrant for crimes against humanity as “not a bad guy” has neither moral judgment nor the slightest qualification to represent the interests of the United States or anyone else.
This isn't "America First." This is "Morality? Doesn't matter, as long as the deal is done."
And this very attitude is partly responsible for the fact that dictators like Putin have believed for decades that they can murder with impunity.
This is insane. Putin is a bad guy. He kills innocent Ukrainians every night. He started the largest war in Europe since World War II for no reason. He has killed his political opponents. Diplomats have to engage with dictators but they don’t have to check their values at the door to do so.
