@Cym_Wal @iwanrheon Arguably Henry Tudor took the title by right of conquest when Rhys ap Thomas slew Richard Plantagenet, the decendant of Edward II and last Plantagenet King at Bosworth. As Henry was the decendant of the Royal houses of Deheubarth and Gwynedd he certainly could claim the title.

@Dukevfr I gather they would like the park authority as a public body to use both versions of the name as they did in past. Given that in the local area less than 10% speak Welsh and Wales is officially bilingual that seems fair and reasonable.

@craigantlewis @RhysOwens92 @PadraigLiddy A theme of the history of Wales from the Roman conquest to the present day is the use of a minority language to separate the ruled from the rulers. It started with Latin and Brythonic continued with Norman- French and Welsh. The n Welsh and English under the Tudors.
