BREAKING: We're delighted that the DWP was ordered to hand over key documents to our client in this hearing last week.
@EllenClifford1 will be in court on 10/11 Dec to challenge a consultation that was a "smokescreen for cuts" to disability benefits

BREAKING 🚨
The Government is appealing @Liberty's successful challenge against anti-protest laws.
“In making this decision, Labour has missed a critical opportunity to rebalance the relationship between the executive and Parliament,” says PLP's CEO @ShameemAhmad01
PLP is looking for consultant(s) to collaborate with us in refining our organisational purpose & developing our next strategic plan.
This is a pivotal moment to shape the future direction of PLP.

In response to the scrapping of adult social care reforms due to come in next year, @rhidianhughes says it is untenable for third sector organisations to absorb more unfunded costs and an urgent solution for state-funded social care and support is needed. https://t.co/BZbeHiR49Q
What’s the real #CostofInjustice? 🚨
New research shows the Government has been wasting nearly £400k a year assessing immigration legal aid applications that fall under Exceptional Case Funding, even though almost 90% of those applications are approved

This is a welcome decision, as asylum seekers that have been stuck in limbo for two years will now have the chance to have their claims processed and get on with their lives.
Next we hope the Government dismantles the legislative architecture that enabled this cruel policy.
I know influential parts of the social care sector don’t want to accept or confront this fact, but we’re not prepared for another pandemic if we continue with large scale congregate care settings as the norm.
🚨BREAKING NEWS
7 days into the new @UKLabour Government & there is STILL no Minister for Disabled people.
We've written @10DowningStreet to urge the PM to make this appointment NOW.
16 million Disabled people let down badly by the previous administration deserve representation👇
🎉This is a huge win for our client who won't be sent to Rwanda - his claim will be processed in the UK.
But what about the other 50,000 still in limbo and why does the Home Sec. appear to have left open possibility that flights could still take place?

@sfhosali @NDTiGail @KMercerTraining @davinajh@KarenBlairAMS Unfortunately no reliable sources AFAIK. Absence of national data set - on usage especially - is a problem. Happy to chat - think we’ll see each other at Midlands Arts Centre Monday.
I’m hugely impressed by the research by @moves_positive. Here I discuss with the brilliant Louisa Rhodes and Helen Ellis-Caird how their project’s model can help advocates in our work to support people’s rights and voices.
Chief Executive @Jonathan_Senker speaks to Louisa Rhodes and Helen Ellis-Caird from the @moves_positive project about their 'Building My Foundations' model, which demonstrates what people with learning disabilities need to live a happy and healthy life in the community'.
We've signed this joint statement, led by @LGAcomms & issued this morning, calling on all Party leaders to recognise and celebrate and value and potential of adult social care: https://t.co/ufKn8363xE
It’s been a huge privilege to have established and led @VoiceAbility . I’ll be stepping down in Sept to figure out a new part to play in enabling people to have better lives. A huge thank you to my fabulous colleagues and friends internally and externally.
“Being in hospital made my mental health worse. I've been out now 30 years, and it's a lot better. I can get on with my life, have a family, have a dog, be at work; it's great.”
