Not the best start to my day!!!

Had my car broken into last night.

They stole a bag full of sweaty gym cloths, another bag with my JiuJitsu Gi in and what’s really inconvenient is they took a set of my prosthetic legs!

Despite having 3 cameras pointing at my car I was told by the staff at the hotel that they couldn’t see any activity as the view to my car was blocked by another car (might be time to reposition those cameras 🤔)

The sad thing is to think that someone would break into a car parked in a disabled parking space and steal equipment someone needs to live independently and not even care 🦿🦿🦾

Sierra Leone has a high prevalence of hypertension as a result of excessive salt intake (directly and through bullion cubes).

It is against this background that Freetown City Council has been collaborating with our implementing partner Parene Healthcare, led by Mdme #JulietLaverley, and the Ministry of Health in delivering the “Healthy Food for All” project - a policy intervention targeted at strengthening high blood pressure prevention, through an evidence based social behavior change campaign, supported by nutritional guidelines and social mobilization interventions and funded by #Bloomberg #Philanthropies.

Freetown City Council became a member of Bloomberg Philanthropies Partnership For Healthy Cities as a result of Mayor Aki-Sawyerr’s membership of the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Programme. The partnership brings together 73 cities that have agreed to implement an evidence based policy to compliment the efforts of the Ministry of Health in addressing NCDs by increasing awareness, and share best practices.

#Freetonians, to reduce the risks of hypertension and other heart diseases, let’s #reduce our #salt #intake, including our intake of #bullion #cubes. Let’s use more of our natural spices instead. The food might taste different at first but our lives will be so much healthier - that is surely of greater value!
