Here’s the part the new socialist marketing department never wants to discuss: America already tried the easy version.

Not the dictatorship version. Not the breadline version. Not the “CIA made the mill stop working” version. The easy case.

Robert Owen had money. He had land. He had housing. He had workshops. He had mills. He had orchards. He had cleared farmland. He had volunteers. He had intellectuals. He had the famous “Boatload of Knowledge,” because apparently socialism always thinks the missing ingredient is another expert with a clipboard and a theory about human nature.

No war. No embargo. No hostile army. No capitalist sabotage. No “late-stage capitalism” boogeyman hiding in the cornfield.

And still, the thing collapsed in about two years.

Why? Because incentives are undefeated.

When the skilled worker and the lazy theorist get the same reward, the skilled worker eventually figures out he is the mule in someone else’s moral pageant. When everyone owns the mill, nobody fixes the mill. When planners replace prices, waste stops being a mistake and becomes the business model. When responsibility belongs to “the community,” it quietly belongs to nobody.

That was socialism with training wheels, a helmet, a trust fund, and an entire town already assembled.

It still rode straight into a ditch.

So spare us the DSA rebrand, the Denmark cosplay, the red-button compassion routine, and the lecture from children who think history began when they opened TikTok.

New Harmony was the autopsy.

HISTORY LESSON ON YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY CARD:
Just in case some of you young whippersnappers (& some older ones) didn’t know this. It’s easy to check out, if you don’t believe it. Be sure and show it to your family and friends. They need a little history lesson on what’s what and it doesn’t matter whether you are Democrat or Republican. Facts are FACTS.

Up until the 1980's, Social Security cards expressly stated the number and card were not to be used for identification purposes.
Since nearly everyone in the United States now has a number, it became convenient to use it anyway and the "NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION" message was removed.

Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA) Program. His promises are in black, with updates in brackets.

1.) That participation in the Program would be completely voluntary [No longer voluntary],

2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual Incomes into the Program [Now 7.65% on the first $90,000, and 15% on the first $90,000 if you’re self-employed],

3.) That the money the participants elected to put into the Program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes each year [No longer tax deductible]

4.) That the money the participants put into the independent ‘Trust Fund’ rather than into the general operating fund, and therefore, would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other Government program [Under Johnson the money was moved to the General Fund and spent]

5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income [Under Clinton & Gore up to 85% of your Social Security can be taxed].

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month — and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the Federal government to ‘put away’ — you may be interested in the following.

Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent ‘Trust Fund’ and put it into the general fund so that Congress could spend it?

A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically controlled House and Senate.

Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?

A: The Democratic Party.

Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities?

A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the ‘tie-breaking’ deciding vote as President of the Senate, while he was Vice President of the US

AND MY FAVORITE:

Q: Which Political Party decided to start giving annuity payments to immigrants?

A: That’s right! Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party. Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments!

The Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into it!

Now, after violating the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!

And the worst part about it is uninformed citizens believe it!

If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of awareness will be planted and maybe changes will evolve. Maybe not, though.

Some Democrats are awfully sure of what isn’t so but it’s worth a try.

TRUMP DIDN’T JUST SAY HE’D PICK IRAN’S NEXT LEADER.

While Iran’s Foreign Minister was on TV saying “it’s up to the Iranian people” — Trump was on a secure call with a single person: Ali Larijani.

The former Speaker of Iran’s Parliament. A man the Deep State thought was their ally. A man who met with John Kerry 14 times.

But Larijani’s son was executed by the regime in 2017. They called it a suicide. It was a message.

For 9 years, he waited. For 9 years, he plotted.

And for 9 years, he was Trump’s backchannel into the heart of the IRGC.

When Trump said “I’ll pick the next leader” — he wasn’t making a threat.

He was giving a signal.

To Larijani. To the 12 generals loyal to him. To the 4,000 soldiers ready to defect.

This isn’t a war to destroy Iran.

It’s a coup to liberate it.

And it’s happening now.

If U.S. media is your only source of news, you will learn this:
1- Israel dragged America into war with Iran. Israel and America had no plan. They were beaten and surrendered. Now Iran has emerged as a superpower and imposing its conditions for what happens next.
2- Even though Netanyahu controls Trump, Trump ordered Netanyahu to stop the war against Netanyahu's will.
3- The very evil Netanyahu, to sabotage the ceasefire, kept on fighting Hezbollah. Reason why Netanyahu fights Hezbollah is not because Hezbollah has launched war on Israel in 2006, 2024 and 2026, but because Israel is evil, wants to ethnically cleanse Lebanon by committing a genocide and grab its land. Israel is ever expanding colonialist power and views Lebanon and all countries like Gaza.
4- Israel was surprised by how powerful Hezbollah was, and therefore was looking for an off ramp. Trump ordered Netanyahu to agree to talks with Lebanon (again, Netanyahu bosses Trump around but Trump always ends up forcing Netanyahu to do things).
5- End of Netanyahu's war on Iran is that Iran will become a nuclear superpower that added the Strait of Hormuz to its assets. Hezbollah is stronger. Iraqi militias are stronger. The Houthis are the rulers of the world. US losses are sign of the end of its global superpower, like Britain in Suez 1956. China and Russia helped Iran deflate America. From now on, the world will be run by Iran, China and Russia. America's power is gone. Israel will be replaced by free Palestine soon. The dollar is losing its status. Domestic America is falling apart too. Trump is king. America is a dictatorship.

The New York Times reported on April 10, citing US officials, that Iran has been unable to fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz because it cannot locate all of the naval mines it laid in the waterway and lacks the capability to remove them. The IRGC used small boats to plant mines haphazardly during the early weeks of the war. Many locations were never recorded. Some mines have drifted from their original positions. Iran does not have a complete map of what it put in its own water.

When Foreign Minister Araghchi said on April 8 that safe passage through Hormuz would be possible “with due consideration of technical limitations,” US officials now confirm he was not being diplomatic. He was being literal. The technical limitation is that Iran mined its own strait and lost track of where the mines are.

Iran published a chart on April 9 through Tasnim and ISNA showing a large circle marked “danger zone” covering the standard shipping lanes, with two alternative IRGC-controlled routes around Larak Island. This is the chart of a country directing traffic around its own weapons because it cannot guarantee the weapons will not detonate under the traffic it is trying to collect tolls from. The toll system, the IRGC coordination, the escort protocol, the VHF passcode, all the infrastructure built to monetize the chokepoint exists because Iran cannot simply reopen the chokepoint. The tollbooth is not leverage. The tollbooth is a workaround for a self-inflicted minefield.

Richard Meade, editor-in-chief of Lloyd’s List, described the situation during an April 10 webinar: “As of this morning, the Strait of Hormuz remains both open and closed, depending on your position, both geographically and geopolitically. It is, if you like, Schrödinger’s Strait.”

Traffic on April 10 stood at 7 to 18 ships per day, with only 2 to 4 tankers, against a pre-war baseline of roughly 140 daily. Over 1,000 vessels are queued outside the strait, including 187 tankers carrying an estimated 172 million barrels of stalled crude. The backlog alone would take weeks to clear even if every mine vanished overnight.

And the capacity to clear mines does not exist on either side. The US Navy decommissioned its last dedicated Avenger-class minesweepers before the war. It now relies on Littoral Combat Ship mine countermeasures modules that have never been tested at this scale. The Royal Navy withdrew its last mine countermeasures vessel, HMS Middleton, from the Gulf in early 2026 and transported it home on a heavy-lift ship because it could not make the voyage under its own power. The West dismantled its mine-clearing capability months before the war that required it.

Trump demanded “complete, immediate, and safe opening” of the strait as the ceasefire condition. Vance is flying to Islamabad to negotiate terms that require a physical outcome neither side can deliver. Iran cannot find the mines. The US cannot sweep them. The UK sent its last minesweeper home on a cargo ship. And the ceasefire that was supposed to reopen 20 percent of the world’s oil supply is hostage to weapons that are drifting silently through a strait that nobody fully controls.

The most honest phrase in the entire ceasefire was “technical limitations.” It just took the New York Times to decode what it meant. The mines are still there. The talks start tomorrow. And 20 percent of the world’s oil is waiting on a map that does not exist.
