What’s up! I’m Jonathan Maloney 👋

I’m an Art Director and Graphic Designer with 17 years creative professional experience based out of Atlanta-ish, Georgia.

I love doing good design for great people.

In an industry where it’s too easy to take yourself too seriously, I try and find the fun and joy in what I do, every day.

Here’s a little bit about me:

Life Highlights:

👰‍♀️ I’ve been married for 14 years to a woman who is 150% cooler than me.

👨‍👦‍👦 I have 3 sons, 2 of my sons have special needs. I learn from them every single day.

🎶 I’m inspired and obsessed with music and art.

Professional Highlights:

🎨 Art Director for one of America’s largest churches

🎨 Creative Partner at Brightful Studio

🎨 Design, Brand and Logo Designer at JonathanMaloney .com

🎨 I’ve been lucky enough to have worked for multiple award winning marketing agencies

Things I Enjoy:

☕️ Good light roast Coffee.

🍺 Better double IPA Beer.

📚 Reading as much fiction and nonfiction as I possibly can.

😑 Collecting Vinyl Records + Collecting mean looks from my wife for spending too much money on vinyl records.

🎸 Being painfully mediocre at my Fender Jazzmaster Guitar.

If you want to read my thoughts on creativity, really good design and tolerable dad jokes follow me at @JonathanMaloney.

Introduce yourself below, I'd love to connect!

Congratulations to @JeffWri on your release, and thanks for letting me design your cover!

[Jonathan Maloney @JonathanMaloney]

I’m always so flabbergasted that people trust me with their passions.

Working with a rad client on these single covers has kept me busy 🔥

@alliswell Real. This is always the time of year I consider being Amish.

@oykun @figma @framer @MobbinDesign @designcodeio @dribbble Not to bad mouth anyone, but dribbble is a wasteland these days.

I’m 4 years into subscribing to @ucllc and it’s never let me down! The conference is killer too.

Cool isn’t always good. Good is always cool.

Hey Designer,

If your design tutorial on YouTube is more than 8 minutes, it's not a good tutorial.

[Jonathan Maloney @JonathanMaloney]

@AlinDragu Hahaha. Homeboy just felt inspired!

With gratitude, optimism is sustainable.

I'm still pretty hot on this annual report I did a few years back.

What's something you're working on that you're feeling super proud of?

Happy Sunday, friends.

[Jonathan Maloney @JonathanMaloney]

@NeilKollipara @AlinDragu Man, it’s honestly the best.

Behind every successful man on X, there’s a good woman who doesn’t care about his followers and just hopes he’s having fun.

Hey creative,

People don’t buy art. 🖼️

They buy the artist. 👨‍🎨

[Jonathan Maloney @JonathanMaloney]

@EclecticJOAT That’s awesome.

People over product, always!

Who’s your favorite artist to collect?

[Jonathan Maloney @JonathanMaloney]

@Khesta3 😂

[Jonathan Maloney @JonathanMaloney]

@Khesta3 I’d love to know your thoughts my dude!

[Jonathan Maloney @JonathanMaloney]

@AlinDragu @MoyinoluwaAyo11 Yes, but mostly the toilet paper. 🧻
