At Bondo we came to honour a friend and a brother, and we were received as family. I thank Mama Ida and the Odinga family for opening their grounds to the nation while carrying their own grief.

What happened at Migwena was a shame. Mourners were made to run. Five suspects are under arrest, with a machete, a sword and a knife recovered. Nobody carries weapons to a memorial by accident.

My message is to the sponsors, not the foot soldiers: we know who you are. I call on the Inspector-General and the DCI to follow the money and the vehicles, and arrest the financiers, not just the young men holding the weapons.

To our young people: the Constitution protects your right to speak and to assemble, and no government can take that away. But a freedom that silences others is not freedom. Criticise us, argue fiercely, but join the Ukombozi movement, not the goons.

The day of accountability is coming. 295 days to Wantam.

Ngenga Opens an 11-Point Lead Over Incumbent Nguna

Jonathan Ngenga leads the Mwingi West parliamentary race with 45.5%, ahead of incumbent MP Charles Nguna at 34.2%. With 16.0% still undecided, Ngenga has emerged as the candidate to beat, although the race remains open.

The numbers suggest a significant appetite for political change, with Ngenga currently attracting substantially more electoral support than the sitting MP.
