@zty75 Yes, I need to kill them by either putting them in the freezer or in a jar with acetone. That was they are easy to manipulate their legs/wings/antennae into their positions when I pin them.

Just finished pinning my insects, now I'm onto identifying their orders and families. Some will definitely be easier than others to identify. Once I figure out what they are, I will be creating official labels for each specimen. #AugieNatHist #AugieEnto

@yramb2000 It mostly relates to their biology and their roles in the ecosystems. I feel like you'd have to know more about the specific insect to tell. One thing I think may be a way to tell would be if it has fuzzy hairs or sticky legs. that would mean the pollen could stick to their body

@yramb2000 I would say its very hard when some insects mimic others. Some are almost completely unrelated, so like a beetle and a wasp, yet some species would both have the same colors, shape, and size. All insects are unique, but they may still look the same.

@MarcosC217572 I am unsure, but it has the look of an assassin bug, which are part of the True Bug (Hemiptera) family Reduviidae.
