Need a last-minute Christmas gift? My kids & I highly recommend this for anyone mischievous, sciency, curious, geeky, or into just plain cool stuff: https://t.co/tMfQvYqy4d. Book 1 is awesome too.
And Sam Jackson thought he had it hard w. snakes!

Hello, "X." Pardon me for saying so, but I think I'll keep calling you "Twitter" for a while, since I still lack both anonymity and mutant powers.

In other news, I finally figured out how to unlock a picture book manuscript I've been eager to write the last two years.
Yay!
P.S. It features shadows.

Three soccer games, a cookout, a birthday, a sleepover, and lunch with my in-laws--nah, it wasn't a busy weekend or anything.
I'll try to find time for you soon, Twitter. That's what I get for prioritizing. :)
My daughter came home and told us they learned to sing "The Star-Strangling Banner" today. I can't quite decide if that really funny or a statement too profound for my tired mind.

@AmeDyckman I love saying Bread Monk. It's as much fun as saying Goat Butler or Sofa Hunter. And in case you thought I was just riffing, here's a link: https://t.co/s5wbGGaL0B.
I have a couple of his books, and oh my does he make good dough (given to charity, of course, since he's a monk).
@GomezWrites@BookwormOmaha Thank you. I was in the state for college, but that was a loooong time ago. I like it so far, but our current city is a bit lacking in the bookstore department.
@MarcieColleen1 I can count on one hand the number of times my last name has been pronounced correctly by someone who doesn't know me or a relative. I don't always correct people, but if I never did, I'd never hear my name said as my name should be.
My children's odds of getting what they want has drastically increased for the next few days. There's no school, and grandma and grandpa are in town in a mood to spoil. #parenting
