We're still going strong! Thank you, Notre Dame, for giving me the gift of teaching this course and learning alongside these young men and women. And thank you, @ThePhilLab, for making courses like this around the nation happen!

@VPhillipMunoz@shbarclay I’d rather we grade on a scale of 1-100 and the average is set somewhere around 70. And a prof can only award one perfect “100” score per class in a way that is similar to a book award in law school. There’s just not enough variation now where it’s either A or B.

Generosity is an anti-depressant.
Depressed people were randomly assigned to give less than a penny a day to charity. Over the next 2 months, moods improved and depression declined. The more they gave, the better they felt.
Even small acts of kindness elevate mental health.
Sorin Fellow Bobby Spence secured a ‘life-changing’ $50,000 grant for Corvilla, a local nonprofit serving individuals with disabilities. Spence is a student in the "Philanthropy and the Common Good" class supervised by dCEC assistant director Jon Hannah: https://t.co/xOrRjyJhqm
We are in the world to step out of our comfort zones and reach out to those in need. We will only find ourselves by giving ourselves for others, for life is gained only when we offer it for others.
