Ahead of Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, a Palestinian terrorist opened fire on Israelis during a religious bathing ritual, murdering one person and injuring others.
Other attacks are reported across the country.
May the victim’s memory be a blessing. We wish everyone injured a speedy recovery.
As Prime Minister Carney is set to co-chair a UN meeting on peace between Israelis and Palestinians, Canada must condemn these terrorist attacks, hold the Palestinian Authority to account, and confront the dangerous double standard in its foreign policy toward Israel.
As a former CSIS Director warned last week, extremist groups are weaponizing criticism of Israel to radicalize individuals, fuel antisemitism, and even conduct terrorist attacks on Canadian soil.
Sending our very best wishes to British Jews and Jewish communities around the world observing Yom Kippur and a safe and meaningful fast.
G’mar Chatima Tovah.
An excellent day for @Middlesex_CCC. Unfortunately, my dad wasn't interested in going to Nottingham or Bristol today, so we didn't attend either match.
As the Jewish community prepares for Yom Kippur, we remember Adrian Daulby and Melvin Cravitz.
Both men were both killed as a result of a horrific Islamist terrorist attack on Manchester’s Heaton Park Synagogue on Yom Kippur last year, the holiest day of the Jewish calendar. Three others were left injured, but thankfully survived.
All of us at Campaign Against Antisemitism are thinking of the victims and their families today.
May their memories be a blessing.
