A flower becoming a strawberry. See the flower petals dropping off the middle one? This is phase 2. The flower (right) is phase 1. The slightly larger strawberry (left) is phase 3. Now, we are just 2-3 weeks from a big, red strawberry.

This little beauty is the beginning stage of a honeoye strawberry, which is a small, delicate strawberry that is incredibly sweet and delicious. This is the strawberry variety my grandmother chose for her secret field on the strawberry farm.
