Bittersweet end to another AAU season.
Talking with parents, players, and coaches, you realize how much this builds real relationships between families and friends. After all the travel, time, energy, and effort… it’s always the same: “I’ll miss this” or “I don’t know what I’m gonna do now.”
AAU is special.
@TheHoopGroup will keep putting out a basketball product that connects players to coaches and coaches to players at every level. A legitimate basketball company run by basketball people, with the goal of helping kids.
High-IQ lefty guard who controls the game with pace, poise, and feel. A true floor general who can score at all three levels, create for others, and make winning plays. Strong with the ball, doesn’t get knocked off his spot, and can play on or off the ball. Elite student
Masked marchers representing the white nationalist and fascist group Patriot Front arrived in Washington, D.C. on Saturday amid celebrations for America's 250th anniversary. Part of the group was seen boarding the Eastern Market Metro stop heading toward the National Mall.
🚨Coaches 🚨
Thijs Kevorkian (2027 - Iona Prep)

Parents have no idea how many of them are costing their kids offers.
Truly sad some of the behavior of these adults.
College Coaches value good families almost as much as good play.
Whether it’s in their relationships, their families, or their work, inconsistency in those areas shows up in how they lead. You can’t expect kids to value commitment and clear communication if the person teaching them doesn’t consistently model it themselves.
If a coach isn’t holding players accountable to commitment and communication, it usually reflects something deeper. Those standards don’t just disappear on the court—they’re often missing in their own lives too.
Highlights from 2/3 games at The Jersey Warmup this past weekend. Good momentum built with the squad heading into Pitt Jam Fest this Friday.

Year 1 of our program - 2025 & 2026 groups.
Building something from scratch came with challenges - commitment, buy-in, understanding. A lot of learning on our end.
But we stayed committed to doing it the right way - honesty, purpose, and truly guiding kids.
