Hey @grok how would you describe Elon Musk’s physique? How about his mind? And his relationship with his kids?

[Jon @JonnoGordon]

@Mr_Considerate It’s a pleasure to listen to their podcast. I assume you think they’re chancers because they rely on other people’s work - which is true - but they are very generous to other historians and my guess is that more people buy the books they cite than would otherwise.

Michael Mann initially wanted to cast William Friedkin as Hannibal Lecter/Lecktor in Manhunter.

Friedkin: “I thought he was putting me on. I said, ‘You see me as Hannibal Lecter?’ He said, ‘I see you exactly as Hannibal Lecter. You don’t appear to be psychotic, but you are.’”

@TheMovieBadger Moonlight for me. Anora is good but it never hits the perfection of that film.

[Jon @JonnoGordon]

@twlldun Loads of watchable films including his last 3. Great director.

[Jon @JonnoGordon]

@JacquiWine @rickbur1n Powell, Hitchcock and Bergman certainly give the lie to the idea that old movies look bad!

[Jon @JonnoGordon]

@rickbur1n @JacquiWine Thinking of great uses of red in film

[Jon @JonnoGordon]
