Annual cost to foreign nationals claiming UC.

In 2022/23 it was £6.694bn
In 2023/24 it was £7.886bn (17.8% increase from year before)

In 2024/25 it was £10.21bn (29.5% increase from year before)

As of March 2025, our monthly cost to foreign nationals claiming UC was £941m, almost £1bn per month, and accounts for 15.5% of the total £6.05bn UC payments that month, up from 14.1% in March 2022.
