Great to join 50+ local volunteers for the Downe Litter Pick recently, keeping our local area clean and tidy. My thanks to all who organised, took part in, and otherwise supported (including local business Field Brew for their kind offer of a free drink for all the volunteers!).

[Jonathan Andrews @JonnyJAndrews]

Thank you, @SimonFawthrop_1. Residents of Blackness Lane and further afield were aghast to see this caravan dumped on this rural lane, causing serious disruption to residents and disregard for our environment.

The dismantling sends a clear warning to others thinking of the same!

[Cllr Simon Fawthrop @SimonFawthrop_1]

Conservative Bromley Council takes action to remove dumped caravan.

It’s not right that some can flout planning law whilst others adhere to it. Here in #Bromley we are tackling numerous cases of illegal developments. The authorities’ hands are often tied whilst those who break the law continue unabashed.

The process must be strengthened.

✍️This morning, Leader of Bromley Council, Cllr Colin Smith, wrote to the Chancellor and Secretary of State for Housing, Communities & Local Government.

He implored them - and Bromley’s Labour MPs - to stop cuts that reduced Government funding by £22 million.

This morning Cllr Andrews and I met to discuss the ongoing activity around Blackness Lane and Keston Court Fruit Farm. I know how concerned local residents are and will be raising this matter directly with the Environment Agency to seek a resolution.

[Peter Fortune MP @PeterTFortune]

I am aware of the incident on Bromley High Street this afternoon and I know that residents will have safety concerns.

The police are in attendance and have made a number of arrests.

I will remain in close contact with the police as they continue to investigate this incident.

I was delighted to present @CASPA_Online and The Maypole Project - my chosen Mayoral charities - with their fundraising cheques last week.

Including the main account, my JustGiving pages and direct donations, I was delighted to raise £40,000 overall to support their vital work!

Three extraordinary Cameroonians. One global recognition.

Congratulations to Sally Tabe Njoh (HappyMe Health), Afanwi Monique Ntumngia (Green Girls Organisation) and Chea Gerald Nde Tetube (Gifted Hands & Healing Voices) on being named among the #QECT100YoungLeaders2026

[Jonathan Andrews @JonnyJAndrews]

I am delighted to continue supporting @CASPA_Online - one of my chosen charities as @MayorofBromley0, which I first volunteered for as a teenager - as an Ambassador.

I look forward to working with CASPA to further autism understanding and acceptance, across Bromley and beyond!

A wonderful time earlier this month supporting the Downe Duck Race. A fantastic and fun day, & a great fundrasier for the Downe Christmas Lights!

And it was lovely to also pop into the local Downe Art Group's brilliant exhibition. My thanks to all who made both events possible.

[Jonathan Andrews @JonnyJAndrews]

Delighted to attend @LBofBromley's AIM job fair last week, linking local employers across a range of sectors, from grounds maintenance to security and education, with Bromley Care Leavers aged 16-25 - boosting opportunities.

My thanks to all who worked to make it such a success!

Earlier this month, my term as Bromley's youngest-ever Mayor came to an end.

It's been an honour and privilege to recognise Bromley's tireless volunteers, fundraise for my chosen charities @CASPA_Online and The Maypole Project, and lead civic commemorations across our borough.

@ndleo1 @LBofBromley Thank you - and what better way to understand resident concerns than on the doorstep! Details of road resurfacing I've secured can be found in my latest March newsletter (at https://t.co/ZERYkrgEQQ) and I'm continuing to push for more local roads to receive the same treatment.
