ALS, as we all know, is a killer for the one that has it. But what about family that has to endur the hardship-witness the decline? What about their sacrifices? They need help too! This is why more Gov’t caregiving hours are needed. Video tells ALL https://t.co/l6XFFtqRqo
Yesterday, #NHLAlumni Mark Kirton spoke to Canada’s Parliament about his fight against ALS, as well as the importance of raising both awareness and funding to find a cure.
Joining him were @WayneGretzky, Darryl Sittler, Brendan Shanahan, Glenn Healy, Laurie Boschman, Colin Campbell, and countless other hockey and parliamentary supporters.
Stay tuned for the full story and how you can participate in Mark’s fight against ALS.
BOTG volunteer Malissa Ervine was at the Corrections Day event in Thunder Bay today. CO Dana Bruno (one of the main organizers) joined Malissa at our booth… Thanks to the organizers for inviting us! It was great to come out, and be a part of this wonderful event!
Matthew and Madeline Gaudreau should be dancing at his sister’s wedding right now. They should be reveling in the most beautiful kind of anticipation — waiting to meet their baby. If you, like me, have been hoping for a small way to help, donate here: https://t.co/xmf7YU7ybt
This is why Correctional staff have a hard time trusting the government. @fordnation invited on a tour of a correctional institution on his earliest available date…. Yet his office responds they are busy that day! Tell us you actually don’t care, I can at least respect honesty.
I continue to ask myself…. Does @fordnation and or @MPPKerzner care about their staff in Ontario Corrections that are dying by suicide due to lack of proper training and access to proper resources. @OPSEU President @JPHornick and leaders sent a cry for help on April 9. Silence
Thank you @JudySgroMP for joining the thousands of Canadians in voicing your continued support to people and families affected by ALS this #ALSAwarenessMonth. Your message is helping raise much needed awareness for the urgent needs of the #ALS community.
We won't let the Science Centre go down without a fight.
I joined @floyd_ruskin from @SaveOSC at the Science Centre today to talk about what's really motivating the Ford govt to close it down.
Join the 44,000 other Ontarians who supported @SaveOSC and write a letter to Doug Ford telling him to keep the Science Centre open at https://t.co/Rncv8kAMkk.

With the dedication of the Police Officer memorial for Officers who have died BECAUSE of the job… I wonder if @fordnation and @MPPKerzner will acknowledge the trend of Correctional Worker death by suicide in @ONsafety
We are YOUR employees!!! #CrisisinCorrections
When is the @fordnation planning on responding to @OPSEU Correctional workers letter dated April 9, 2024 identifying a crisis of death by suicide of Correctional Workers!
