@nathanielpopper@waze@mrichtel I think it’s partly a legacy of how dependent early Waze was on live, user-submitted data compared to cell signals (and still is somewhat), along with it coming from an era where gamification was all the rage. But it’s definitely crazy and in LA you have to beware the “Waze left”
