The Cars release their self-titled debut album, produced by Roy Thomas Baker. The album spawned hit singles like “Just What I Needed,” “My Best Friend’s Girl,” and “Good Times Roll,” along with notable tracks “Bye Bye Love” and “Moving in Stereo.” It reached No. 18 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Platinum in the U.S.
