Ahoy! We have signed an agreement with @COREPOWER10 for the design & development of a floating nuclear power plant (FNPP) using our eVinci™ microreactor. Learn about how FNPPs can be used to deploy #NuclearEnergy to islands, ports and coastal communities: https://t.co/RvZ4JXHWtQ
Congratulations to the eVinci team in executing another successful manufacturing demonstration at scale, advancing us a step closer to our goal of deploying the first commercial microreactor later this decade.
🛠️ Our eVinci™ engineering teams crafted a full-diameter mechanical cross-section of the eVinci core, which comes in at an impressive 32,000 pounds! Measuring more than three meters in diameter, the structure was assembled vertically before our teams tilted it into a horizontal position. It's the same process they will use at our full-scale manufacturing facility.
Using identical materials as those used in the eVinci #Microreactor, this test sets the stage for the eVinci teams to commence work on the eVinci test reactor.

PITTSBURGH: Reactor manufacturing is returning to the Steel City.
Penn. @GovernorShapiro speaks at the launching of Westinghouse's eVinci microreactor factory in the town of Etna, named after the Italian volcano to describe the fires and furnaces of the steel mills here.
"I want to win at everything and I want Pennsylvania to be the best. That's why I'm excited about this facility."
Spicy words from the new governor.
He's citing the role this region played in the industrial revolution and how it continues now by manufacturing nuclear reactors.
He's a Democrat. Democrats are for nuclear. Republicans are for nuclear. The United States is for nuclear. It's an incredible change from the mood just a few years ago.
This building was built in 1902. It's been empty since the 1970s.
Now the lights are coming back on to make nuclear reactors to replace diesel generators for isolated communities and heavy industry.
These reactors are designed to make 5MW of electricity using high temperature. They have a design that would allow them to work in extreme remote locations, even on the moon, so that's being worked on too.
Moon reactors coming to yinz from Pittsburgh.
