Deputy Head at Hampton Court House. I take a teacher's responsibility for political neutrality seriously, so won't post my political opinions in a public forum.
Just been told by @bt_uk that I cannot make a SAR for a copy of the log of my complaint. @ICOnews Post sales order management team does not know how to contact data protection team!
@BBCNews and @bbceducation
What supermarket own brand cola costs £1.76 for 500ml? And even if it did, should this article really be suggesting it is reasonable to spend two thirds of your budget for your child’s lunch on half a litre of cola?!

@andrewbanks@FloraSCooper I think you have misunderstood. She hasn’t asked the pupils and staff not to come. Just those extras she had called for the previous day. Which is clearly the right call.
@ABritInBrussels@FloraSCooper Health inspectors only report on whether the health & safety guidance is followed and a top score simply means no failings. They don’t tell you how good the food is. They leave that to the Michelin guide etc.
@DunelmUK 30 minutes to get a VAT receipt in your store. The first 20 minutes of which was a series of managers telling me you don’t and can’t issue one. Why can’t you display the VAT as standard? Most places manage it!
I’m disappointed by the inaccuracies in this misleading article by @ChrisMasonBBC as the VAT exemption on education services has nothing to do with whether a school has charitable status. I expected better of @BBCNews https://t.co/wjYyiXA9jy
@robotmaths Wait a mo. Huge amount in your reply that wasn’t in the original. State pension. Index linked. OC (What’s that? I’m guessing not Orange County)
Your original statement was £4k now vs £15k at 66 and a lat is needed to assume that is worth the trade.
@charlie_pearce @chrislhow @MarkK58@susie_dent And the important thing is not whether the letter is a vowel or a consonant in the classification of letters in the alphabet but whether is it a vowel or consonant sound ie whether it is made whilst opening or closing your mouth.
So a uniform for an RAF officer. A Euro but an MP.
@charlie_pearce @chrislhow @MarkK58@susie_dent Ahh, well people say all sorts of things. But the basic principle behind a/an is more “natural” to flow from vowel to consonant to vowel than vowel to vowel or consonant to consonant. Other languages have the same.
French le/l’ - le nez, l’oeil.
Welsh y/yr - y garn, yr aur.
@chrislhow @HilaryMilburn@MarkK58 “An ‘ospital” or “A hospital”. At least that’s what Fowler’s Modern English Usage has recommended since 1926. I love that hostel and hotel are both the same French word arriving in England at the different times, bringing with them very different expectations of standards!
Once arrived at an event and they barred my way & were nasty with it.
'D'you have a ticket?'
'No, I don't. I'm-'
'Then you'll have to leave. It's sold out. You can't come in.'
'If I leave then so does everyone else as they've all paid to hear me speak.'
Red faces all round. 🙃
@lynnesandgate@BiddleIan@acgrayling I have fallen for them sometimes and it’s annoying for a moment but I am glad people do them. But I understand your perspective.
