@howeesth and I are putting together a symposium on early prediction of PTSD for ISTSS this year! We're currently looking for one more speaker to join our line up and are hoping to submit this weekend. DM me here or email me at [email protected] if interested! #prediction#PTSD
@DonaldJTrumpJr Could you please cut the anti-American sentiment and acknowledge how your father encouraged a first-time historic act of terrorism on our soil?
“When programs fail to address these events directly or only do so after pressure from BIPOC individuals, they remain complicit in the maintenance of White supremacy in our society.”
@kylenabecker Goodness, the mental gymnastics conservatives are going through to avoid just admitting the other guy's number was bigger than your guy's 😆
@paytonjjones Curious about *who* is taking the mental health day. Agree it theoretically could be harmful if overused (a little avoidance is surely okay), but what if this is someone who is routinely overworked and low income? Do we think its effect would vary by class?
'science is neutral and objective when it comes to social issues'
that is untrue and historically inaccurate. science has been influenced by, if not also a major influencer of, racial biases and injustices for a long, long time.
here's a piece I wrote: https://t.co/Rcbah24gEi
Precision Mental Health Care: Two ambitious research programmes, in the UK & Germany, demonstrated that applying principles of precision medicine can reduce costs and improve the effectiveness of psychological treatment for common mental health problems.

@nytimes On one hand, fuck white people dictating who is and isn't black based on our behavior. On the other hand, Trump has a much longer and clearer record of measurable racism and harassment of black people (Central Park 5 anyone?)
@jessbidgood@ewarren You don't "owe" anyone an endorsement, but I'd hope you'd endorse the candidate whose platform shows they're fighting for the same things you are! Also, yes, literally each person who dropped out was likely asked who they might endorse!
@xeni Thank you for making this point! As a black man, I often feel frustrated when white women voice these concerns, but then make statements that imply no men could possibly understand this feeling.
New paper from yours truly examining idiographic symptom networks for 20 individuals with PTSD! In addition to centrality, we also discuss how idiographic networks can be used to develop individualized treatment plans. Take a look!
