@Schaumby Just like new homes, car manufactures doubled down on mid and luxury models, and eliminated affordable cars bc the margin is much better. Look it up, it’s no secret. They are all doing it. Let’s not blame the consumer here: we need to hold manufacturers accountable

@educator4ever36 I went from military schools overseas to public school in CA when I was 12. My 7th grade teacher ranted about his smart friend who wasted his intelligence by enlisting and “getting his head blown off in Vietnam.” My Dad was serving & a 2-war veteran. Still makes me angry.

@educator4ever36 I LOVE UNIFORMS. So much. It eliminates the “fight” over what’s appropriate for school, saves a boatload of money, as well as reduces decision fatigue. My kids both go to private now where uniforms are mandatory and it’s really the best.

@gtmom My brother is a literal genius. He is “gifted.” What that looked like: attending college classes in 3rd grade. Me, “just ahead” and placed in GATE (also highly relational: I attended a school where English was a second language for ~40% of the students)

@theistinthought Like anything in life, “it depends.” It depends on the kid. This is an individualized decision that is wholly dependent on the child’s needs and abilities. Curious: Why do you hate the mentality? How does what another parent chooses for their child impact you?

They mocked him for wearing t-shirts and shorts.

They said he can’t come up with any ideas.

But they didn’t realize his “reality” career was an ACT and that he’s a BRILLIANT, eloquent, thoughtful man who can communicate and think in a way few others can.

And in underestimating Spencer Pratt, they’re about to learn the hard way what happens when you underestimate any foe.
