@UpholdInc I need answers.

Recently, five ACH withdrawals were somehow initiated from my bank account and accepted by Uphold, totaling nearly $200,000 — even though my bank account only had around $3,000 in it.

The moment I saw these transactions, I immediately contacted Uphold and told them these were NOT mine. I explained clearly that I could never afford transactions of that size and that the ACH transfers would never clear. I begged them to cancel the transactions immediately.

Instead, Uphold told me they would “wait to see if the ACH payments cleared” before taking any action.

During this time I also noticed the fees tied to these transactions were climbing to over $50,000. I repeatedly contacted Uphold explaining again and again that this was a mistake and that the funds would not clear.

A few days later the ACH payments did exactly what I said they would — they failed.

But instead of correcting the situation, Uphold held me responsible for the funds and the massive fees. Those fees alone wiped out the legitimate money I actually had in my account.

I am now completely broke because of this.

I asked Uphold directly how they could even allow access to nearly $200,000 without secured funds. Their response was that they extend a “courtesy line of credit” to customers.

How does that make sense when I told them from the very beginning that the transactions were a mistake and would never clear?

Now I’m facing the possibility of bankruptcy over something I reported immediately and tried to stop from the start.

I need @UpholdInc to explain how this happened and why nothing was done when I warned them repeatedly.

I’m asking for this situation to be investigated and corrected.
