There are no men playing in the WNBA. Yet Enes Kanter and now Royce White are announcing plans to enter the 2027 draft as actors in a broader anti-trans narrative that falsely portrays women’s sports as being overrun by men.

Kanter averaged 11.2 points and 7.8 rebounds across 748 NBA games but never became an All-Star. White played nine total minutes across three NBA games and recorded zero points, rebounds or assists. Royce White is going to lose his campaign so this is a political stunt.

Neither man identifies as trans, nor sincerely identifies as a woman. This is a calculated dog whistle aimed at mocking trans people and manufacturing outrage. They think they’re playing 4D chess, but they’re literally men attempting to force themselves into women’s sports so they can pretend their invented threat was real all along.
