@McNally4Indiana My understanding: IC is statute so it can be changed by statehouse in 1 session, but the IN Constitution can't .
There would almost certainly be major IN Constitutional Issues regarding partisan remapping and both Federal and State Constitutional racial discrimination issues.
@JohnGreggIN@HaleIndy @VoteThornton Beside even if she wins Congressional Seat in 2020. It will be probably be redistricted for 2022 to kick her out later on. That is what appears to have happened intraparty GOP with it being changed to be less favorable to GOP and thus Dan Burton didn't run again.
@gbosslet@McNally4Indiana Definitely understand character limit, but I think there are ways to explain what they did w/ IN 5th Congressional in 2021, for example, without misleading on gauging gerrymandering. I have to resort to a series of tweets often when discussing this stuff:

In CD-6: Think it was to create a safe seat for Luke Messer to run in (Messer failed in 2010 GOP primary challenge to beat Dan Burton, someone whose antics seemed to be like a Q anon conspiracist before Q anon conspiracies theories: see

@jstewartIndy My understanding: Here is FW City Council ordinance (§ 37.18) w/ regard to contracts over $100k (that doesn't mean it is not ever ignored by staffers). I don't know if similar ordinance in Indy, but if there isn't one I don't see why Indy council couldn't adopt one.
@jstewartIndy My understanding: what agreement between city & Google? (any contract over $50k has to be posted on Indiana Gateway and typically there is a threshold above which contracts generally have to go to council and in Fort Wayne it is $100k or more)

@jstewartIndy My understanding: City of FW Council waited until about 11 months after the rezoning to make decision to allow FW Redevelopment Commission via TIF w/ a majority controlled by FW Mayor to allow diversion of much of property taxes to Commission control away from school district.
@jstewartIndy My understanding: (The state legislature was so eager to reduce school referendum property taxes in SB 1 this year they made the provisions retroactive to beginning of this year)
@jstewartIndy My understanding: Last I was aware, the City of Indy has not made any agreement to give any potential money to Franklin Township schools and just like SB 1 undercut school referendum property taxes, the state legislature is likely cut off any potential money they would get.

My understanding: Project Redmap in 2010 produced seemingly worst IN state rep. maps in recent history & worst IN state senate maps at time (was worst until current one) in recent history, but any adv. conveyed by IN congressional maps was more subtle to extent it existed.
. @hwypol Congressional Candidate Ellsworth in the 8th was +29% margin in 2008 while Obama in 2008 was -4% margin in 8th Congressional District . https://t.co/GE40GtrDR4
@DanSpehler@Hannah__Adamson@FOX59@CBS4Indy Also, does Braun understand what his actual job entails? My understanding: he seems to be doing things state and local government isn't with regard to immigration, while at same time ignoring actual responsibilities; has his office informed SBOA of potential misuse of funds?

@DanSpehler@Hannah__Adamson@FOX59@CBS4Indy My understanding: isn't Beckwith the "head of the Senate". Did FOX59 simply assume Haggard meant Bray; maybe he meant Beckwith with that comment?
