Over 2000 NCC Cadets, ANOs & Staff of 64 Assam Bn NCC, 9 Assam Bn NCC and 51 Assam Air (T) Sqn NCC under the aegis of NCC GP HQ Jorhat, came together at the historic Bir Lachit Borphukan Maidam, KV Air Force School Auditorium, Nimati Ghat, and various educational institutions to embrace this year’s theme: "Yoga for Healthy Ageing."

The mass participation reflected our collective commitment to discipline, resilience, fitness, and holistic well-being. Practising yoga at venues that symbolize Assam’s rich heritage and vibrant community spirit made the occasion even more inspiring.

Today, 2,000 enthusiastic NCC Cadets from the 12 Assam NCC and 74 Assam Girls NCC Golaghat under NCC Gp HQ Jorhat came together to celebrate the International Day Of Yoga 2026.The celebrations spanned 39 institutions and various locations across Golaghat, including events at the iconic Don Bosco College with 350 cadets, the District Library Golaghat with 250 cadets, and the NCC Academy with 345 cadets. Today, 1700 enthusiastic NCC Cadets from the 11 Assam Bn NCC and 49NU Assam NCC, Sivasagar, under the aegies of NCC Gp HQ Jorhat, came together to celebrate the International Day Of Yoga 2026.The celebrations spanned over 50 institutions and various locations across Sivasagar and Charaideo districts including events at the iconic locations of Rang Ghar with 130 cadets and Shiv Dol with 70 cadets. Together, they practiced various yoga asanas to propagate wellness and active living for all generations.
The balance cadets participated at their respective institutions.

COMBINED ANNUAL TRAINING CAMP OF NCC CDTS AT NCC TRG ACADEMY, JORHAT
Brig Karnail Singh, Group Commander, Jorhat Group NCC, addressed NCC cadets attending CATC-44 at NCC Academy, Jorhat, conducted by 12 Assam Bn NCC, Golaghat. He emphasised the importance of good character, moral integrity, social responsibility, empathy and honesty, while urging cadets to uphold the NCC ethos of “Unity and Discipline” at all times.
During his interaction, he motivated cadets to join the Armed Forces and pursue their dreams with dedication and perseverance. He was received by Col Hiren Borah, VSM, Commanding Officer, 12 Assam Bn NCC, Golaghat.

Preperations by cdts of NCC Gp Jorhat for Pre RDC camps were inspected by the Group Commander, Brig Karnail Singh at NCC Training Academy at Jorhat during the ongoing CATC camp of 11 Assam Bn NCC.
The Group Commander had special interaction with cadets for YEP and Best Cadet and guided them for the preparations.

394 enthusiastic cadets alongwith guidance of Offrs and PI Staff underwent practices for Contingent Drill , Gaurd of Honour, practices for Best Cadet and YEP apart from daily Camp Routine.

World Earth Day was observed by 74 Assam Girls (I) Coy, NCC of NCC Group Jorhat on 21 April 26, embracing the theme “Our Power, Our Planet.”

Awareness session on basic AI usage & a Poster Making Competition were successfully conducted by 12 Assam NCC Bn on World Creativity & Innovation Day (21 Apr 2026) at Commerce College, Golaghat.

A total of 52 cadets, along with 1x ANOs and 5 XPI staff, actively participated, fostering innovation, digital awareness and creative thinking among youth.

Parasailing Basic course Phase ll cum CATC-02 at NCC Academy, Garmur, Jorhat. Day 2: 21/04/2026

Day 2 commenced with high energy as cadets began with an intense PT session, carrying forward the momentum of Day 1.

The opening ceremony by the Gp Cdr included a detailed and insightful briefing to the cadets, emphasizing discipline, unity, cultural respect & high standards of conduct, while motivating responsibility, teamwork & self-discipline. The Gp Cdr also reviewed Gp TSC team progress, offering constructive guidance to enhance readiness.

On World Creativity & Innovation Day, cadets discussed India’s Fast Breeder Reactor at Kalpakkam, promoting scientific awareness & innovation.

Pre-training for parasailing was conducted by instructors from 21 PARA SF.

The day concluded with games & roll call, marking another productive camp day.
