@vicgoddard My son has year left of paramedic degree, feel exactly the same. 18 year old daughter planning to do degree in fine art and art history, has also spent the last two years volunteering a morning a wk in a museum. This government needs to go.

@AlisonHoneybone @BevelP @vicgoddard If you are a student teacher, nurse, paramedic etc on the degree route you spend the majority of your time on placement, working for free and paying for the privilege via student loans.

@AnnaClarke_____ Similar for us. My 19 year old is a student paramedic and an emergency care support worker. It's a tough job. He's seen things at 19 that I will never see, he like your daughter needs down time.

@75ThunderRoad I really hope that he doesn't have a catastrophic stroke in his early 50s, lose his career, mobility, speech; need to move to adapted housing and be reliant on carers and state support ie DLA for a further 25 years like my mum did.

@jenny_gxo I use crutches, on a bus full of women in Cambridge on Saturday not one got up so I could sit down. I had to wait until another disabled traveller got off. They all looked at the floor and ignored me.

@SchoolsWeek I've been teacher for 26 years, was also a Beaver Scout leader but had to give it up - too much on top of my job. Both of my children were Scouts and young leaders, one is a Queen's Scout, neither of them have any intention of being teachers, they want a work life balance
