🚨 BREAKING: BUSHIROAD JUST REVEALED THE NEXT PHASE OF THE PALWORLD TCG
A lot of people are looking at the wrong thing.
Everyone is excited about Legends Awaken, but I’m paying more attention to everything surrounding it.
Bushiroad just laid out a roadmap that stretches into 2027 with new Trial Decks, another booster expansion, Shop Tournaments, the Grand Challengers Cup, the Masters League, and the Challengers Cup.
(this is the kind of roadmap i wanted to see)
What really caught my attention were the tournament rewards. These promo cards aren’t simply being put into booster packs for anyone to pull. They’re being earned through organized play, and I think that’s a really interesting strategy.
When you stop and think about it, the incentives start lining up. Players have a reason to learn the game and build better decks because they can compete for exclusive promo cards. Collectors who don’t play still want those cards, which means they’ll have to get them from the players who earned them. Stores now have a reason to keep running tournaments because people actually have something meaningful to play for.
(it’s a pretty clever flywheel if that’s what they’re going for)
The more people show up to events, the more players become invested in the game. The more invested players become, the more demand there is for sealed product, singles, and future sets. Instead of relying on hype from a new release every few months, they’re creating reasons for people to keep coming back every week.
(i think bushiroad understands that players create collectors just as much as collectors create players)
Quick #Palworld math:
If the first wave had 3.5 million packs sold in total that means…
🔥 291,666 booster boxes
🔥 24,305 booster cases
🔥 8,101 master cases
With all the rip n ship going on this sealed stuff is going to be scarce. Add in the first edition/“Palword” and 🚀
Palworld OFFICIAL CARD GAME officially hits 3.5 million pack sales worldwide! 🎉

I called 4 local shops about #Palworld a week before the release and none of them had any idea it was even dropping. One had never even heard of the video game. Everyone in the hobby was sleeping on it. 💤
@jarrylew Yup reward the forward thinkers and risk takers! Everyone thinks it’s obvious in hindsight, but why did almost no LGS ask for an allocation from distributors? I called 4 different shops in my area a week before release and none of them even knew Palworld was dropping.
I don’t know if people are paying attention, but this could end up being a pretty big deal, whether it was intentional or not.
The Palworld TCG 1st Edition misprint has now been formally acknowledged on the official website, with plans to correct it in future reprints.
That means the first print run booster now has a documented difference from every corrected version that follows.
Collectors love firsts. Collectors love errors.
It is still very early, and nobody knows how the market will value these long term, but this is exactly the kind of thing worth documenting while everyone else is focused on opening packs.
