The Bible and other religious texts have been challenged (and immediately rejected) in Escambia & Pinellas.
Broward & Brevard have both acknowledged challenge forms have been turned in, but have not scheduled a review.
And now Palm Beach… https://t.co/R6i8V2yTsO
Illinois just became the first state in the U.S. to outlaw book bans, after Gov. Pritzker signed legislation that would cut off state funding for any Illinois library that tries to ban books.
Pritzker: "Regimes ban books, not democracies."
Overnight Marion County Public Schools added a new book under “quarantine” (temporary ban):
NOT QUITE NARWAL by Jessie Sima.
It’s the 56th book awaiting review, and the 63rd to go on the list.
This is not a hoax.

@annharada It makes me think of the people that started to wear the large angel wings at funerals to block "protestors". It seems we've circled back to 1998. The only way to send the message is to be present and visible, outmaneuver, out number, and outshine.
@angelojasa This! Yet they did a 90 second spot... that was sent to cast members yesterday saying Bob wanted us to see it first... 30 minutes after it had already been posted on Instagram 🤦♂️🤷🏻♂️
“This world’s waited long enough” for this glimpse of @StephanieJBlock's Norma. 🤯🎶
Only a few chances remain to see this breathtaking performance in our #BroadwayCenterStage production of #SunsetBoulevard, now thru Feb. 8 only!

@localswampgay This! Right here! I turned down a job last year because the increase in pay would have been lost, plus some, in the health insurance expenses.
@seen_dudles Kimberly Akimbo is definitely on my short list, Sweeney Todd is too as a possibility. We keep discussing Shucked because we are so unclear on what it's even about 🤷🏻♂️ Also considering Harry Potter, Funny Girl with Julie, and Leopoldstadt.
