Chaplik posted the letter from his attorney on X, stating, “Lying Jay Feely is at it again. We had to send him a cease and desist because of his repeated lies about me and my stellar conservative record. Jay, stop lying and go back to South Gilbert, where you live. We’ve got it covered here.”

The letter, drafted by attorney Dennis Wilenchik, said, “[Y]ou have publicly labeled him as ‘No Show Joe’ and created a false and misleading website to that effect.” Chaplik said Feely accused him of missing 500 votes, “which is not accurate,” and that many of the allegedly missing votes took place after Chaplik had resigned.

I’ve been doing grassroots politics in the Scottsdale area since 2009 & I have to say how much I admire @JosephChaplik for Congress & @BarrySGraham for Scottsdale City Council. Each have track records of prioritizing constituents while in office & fighting for what’s right. True patriots w conviction!

Special interests funded through “Better Together” PAC want both men out of the way so those special interests can monetize government & take advantage of taxpayers, with Chaplik & Graham in the way it’s proven difficult for those special interests. Both Chaplik & Graham have faced tremendous resistance from special interest groups in each of their campaigns. I couldn’t personally campaign any harder or any better than either of them have this cycle.

I hope truth prevails in their races & they win. They’ve more than earned the right to do so, both in actions of building trust & in campaigning hard.
