@PatMcAfeeShow @KirkHerbstreit @ESPNCFB

Big changes, new number one in total noise and capacity! Hope to see you all this fall. We are!

[Onward State @OnwardState]

According to @audsnyder4, Beaver Stadium could reach a capacity of 109,000 people this fall.

This would make it the largest in the United States. Sorry Michigan.

@EASPORTSCollege @LSUfootball @OhioStateFB @PennStateFball @GeorgiaFootball @oregonfootball @AlabamaFTBL @GatorsFB @Vol_Football @AggieFootball @ClemsonFB The Shoe at 2 is comical. Michigan at 12 is also funny. Been at both a couple times, neither is loud. Strength of team beating low level B1G teams or MAC teams shouldn’t count.

Since Sark decided to provide no context on this statement, I’ll do it.

Franklin won early and turned Penn State around (which he should forever get credit for). He was given plenty of grace through the 2020 and 2021 seasons when he went 11-11 in that two-year span. And then he went on to have three seasons in a row with 10+ wins, but lost to OSU and Michigan each year and still couldn’t get over the hump.

Before Franklin was fired, it was widely agreed upon that drawing SMU and then Boise State in the 2024 CFP would forever be the easiest route to a CFP Semifinal game that there will ever be (people seem to have just kinda forgotten that now). Enter 2025: Franklin had been “pounding the table” for full support and alignment, and he finally got it. He went out and got the highest-paid DC in CFB history and had the opportunity to spend whatever he wanted in the portal.

Franklin himself said the 2025 staff and roster was the most talented group he’s ever assembled, and for most people Penn State was the Natty favorite going into 2025. Franklin went on to coach Penn State into the greatest collapse in College Football history, losing back to back games where his team was favored by more than 20 points. There’s your context for why a coach was fired after making it to the CFP semifinals.

@PatMcAfeeShow @KirkHerbstreit hope to you guys and @CollegeGameDay this fall in the bigger and louder Beaver Stadium!

@CFBTalkDaily If true, that might be one of the dumbest things to come from the previous regime and sounds like poor planning. He won’t have better luck in Blacksburg. Roanoke/Blacksburg(ROA) is only regional also and roughly 100’ longer runway compared to State College.

[Joseph Clark @JosephC2804]

@CFBTalkDaily Interesting take. Most flew SCE. Even west coast lands in SCE. Flight back could have been tricky due to runway length, unless private jets. Still wasn’t the normal to land in airports hours away…weird that affected him, but not the current staff with west coast or mid west.

@_DearOldState Incoming - Sandy Barbour per Franklin’s request

[Joseph Clark @JosephC2804]

@B1OBEY0ND He masters the excuses, OBVIOUSLY, 7 mil was probably what was left after he had say in “his guys” getting paid. No way Dom Deluca and Liam Clifford should have been paid what they were.

[Joseph Clark @JosephC2804]

@MarkWogenrich That’s probably all that was left after he paid “his guys” - no way Dom Deluca and Liam Clifford should have been paid what they were.

[Joseph Clark @JosephC2804]

@joesmeltzer775 Be proud of what he built is fine. But let’s not forget the dumpster fire the culture was this past year that he left behind. So while he brought it “back”, he also didn’t check his work and the roof almost collapsed again…..

[Joseph Clark @JosephC2804]

@ShaneSparksBTN Don’t get too excited Shane. Outside Cannon legit injured, the rest of OSU is dropping like flies. So much for Ryan whining Penn State won’t attend the National duals and grow the spot, he’s going to one up him with this duck job…. 👏🏼

[Joseph Clark @JosephC2804]

@MrPatMineo Outside Cannon the rest should be able to go, especially when they’ve been goes all week. Ryan whining Penn State doesn’t wanna come to the National Dual and grow the sport, guess he’s upping that with this great duck job.

[Joseph Clark @JosephC2804]

@CPyles8 Davis is a clown. Hot or cold. Not consistent. Bench him and roll Desmond.

[Joseph Clark @JosephC2804]

@CPyles8 Taylor won by doing nothing all match. Ref should have hit him again….

[Joseph Clark @JosephC2804]

@PSU_Dylan Please no

[Joseph Clark @JosephC2804]

@NateBreisinger Probably close the end zones off also. Just allow seating from the goal line to goal line or move them to Highmark Stadium in Station Square or Mansion Park in Altoona and they still wouldn’t fill it.

[Joseph Clark @JosephC2804]

Offense is bad, can’t move the ball. Multiple plays your 3 WR are within 7 yds of each other covered by 2 players. OL is bad. No compliment to DK. DC is awful. TJ gets paid no passion/hustle. No pressure/can’t tackle. Echols/Duggar got beat all night by Kirk. No adjustments. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Now 3,285 days since a Steelers playoff win.
Yet another postseason failure from Mike Tomlin.
Please resign. Pretty pretty please with a cherry on top.
