Just passed Milligan’s creek and let me tell you its a real shame school is out bc the water has risen due to all of the rain and it looks perfect for a baptism, creeking, or homicide. No reason you cant do all three really.
@espn@PeteThamel if G-Mac and Brandon are even close then it makes more sense to start Brandon. Most people think hes a better prospect. Real question is how good is G-Mac? Did Brandon just stay close enough in terms of readiness or is he clearly the better starter?
So, now all the coaches who weren’t successful building a quality roster get another chance …
While those who put together their rosters by playing by the NCAA rules will likely be penalized.
@dukebluesamurai He had a good reason to enter the draft but this is exactly why you have got multiple first round “locks” coming back to college. He can still get drafted and likely will but he very well may have made a mistake entering the draft with 2 years left. Both can be true
@jannarymsha@yuldog3 Yeah thats why he did it lol. And you are absolutely right, perception and image do not matter at all or have any bearing ever in life. and we as humans could never possibly be affected by the opinions of others. Great analysis
@MikeHoopsPage@SleepersMedia I will be curious to see. If I had to guess my money would be that either Williams or JBB start but not both. So this starting lineup but minus one of them and insert either Boozer or Foster into the 2 spot.
@bornhatinduke@ElbosFromDuke So your saying he may be a better *prospect*… well who is better at basketball right now this very second?? Who is going to have a more productive 2026-2027 season? Those are the questions that matters for cbb. My money is on Blackwell. Idc if you have a higher draft stock
@Duke_Wisdom As a Duke fan i dont think thats unfair. This guy is underestimating, but as good as he may become I dont see him as a primary scorer. Capable of scoring 15+ points on any night? Sure but not consistently. Role player by definition on this team but def valuable and future pro imo
@AdamFinkelstein@Isaac__Trotter@TravisBranham_@TheDevilsDen@Geaux247@247Sports@CBSSportsCBB Love Graves. Would love him at Duke. He does a LOT of things well but with that stat line (good but NBA good?) I just dont know how he is a first round lock. Assuming he truly is I see him struggling as many do to stay on a roster. Not a ton of exp against high lvl competition
@srogers141@HughStraine Lost 2 players that were of concern. Big issues last year were 3pt% and depth. Outside the 2 players you had one true center and a handful of decent role players. Key role players are returning with added depth and size. 3pt% has been addressed and returners will be improved
@srogers141@HughStraine On paper… absolutely not. Other than not having a consensus national player of the year deepest team they have fielded in a longgg time.
@SportsCenter@espn My name hasnt been called in the draft yet but there are PLENTY of picks left. To be honest I like my prospects for the NBA draft coming up in a few months better anyways. If any NBA execs see this feel free to DM for any inquiries.
@TheDukeNation said this before. I understand his right and inclination to do whatever he needs to do to maximize playing time, income, development prospects for the pros, etc., but also… in the same breath I hope he also understands that Duke fans now have that same inclination to..hate him
