@socialiststeve6 You would have paid it off in around 11 years and paid just under 130000 dollars, only 10000 more then you claim to have already spent but you'd be out from under it, your inability to understand interest does not mean every tax payer should bear the burden for your ignorance.

@socialiststeve6 I did some simple math, if you only reduced your debt by 10000 dollars in 23 years your APR was just under 8%, meaning of the 500 dollars you paid every month about 460 went to your interest not your principal, if you had doubled the amount you paid every month (1/2)
