I met Grant Wahl on my first day in the @SI offices, and was struck by his uncommon kindness and compassion. He was as tremendous a person as he was brilliant and fearless a journalist, and his commitment to his craft—then and now—was without peer. May you rest in peace, Grant.
RIP Vin.
The greatest to ever do it, the greatest who will ever do it, as great a human being as he was at the mic—and the greatest Dodger of them all.
Just a crusher.
@northernsky29@mistererickson Oh, I didn't think you did, Jim. I'd logged on to send my first tweet in forever (to wish my 12yo a happy birthday), after having not visited Twitter much these last few years. Saw your tweet and wanted to respond. (And forgot the b-day tweet, which I definitely heard about....)
@northernsky29@mistererickson Not a rumor, Jim.
My father was gay. He was also a remarkable human being, and was taken from us too soon—but not before being the man and the dad that I strive to be, every day.
These allegations, if true, are far more than just “awkward” (per the NYT story) for the NFL.
Personally, I’d go with horrifying.

@SI_ChrisBallard Yours was an epic run, Chris--and has been since the day you walked in to the @dailynexus sports office, lo those many years ago, and will be, on your way to what's next. And as ever, proud to have walked some of that path with you....
@nytimes@AJNierenberg As I windshield-wipe tears upon finishing this--while I look at recent pics of my daughters, 12 and 11, unburdened as yet by what looms on our collective horizon--I wanted to thank you for writing it. Here's to your dad (a hero, I'd argue) winning his fight, and soon....
Definitely tweet-worthy—especially if it means @RubemRobierbArt is coming back too. Now that’s a fellow I’ve really missed....
Love you, brother. “Happy” doesn’t begin to describe it....
.@RichMcHughNBC is, simply, the most forthright and unassailably ethical producer I’ve known. He was my partner for years at @abcnews and afterward, and there is no more honest—or talented—a journalist. The work he’s done has meant so much to so many, and I’m proud to know him.
It’s going to be so very hard to leave this place, after our finale of #YellowstoneLive on @NatGeoChannel tonight at 9 ET. Work has never been so wild. Hope you’ll join us....
@bworley It’s been really remarkable, Becky, to spend time with some many folks for whom all this wildlife and geology are day jobs. And, as ever, it’s great to yap with you here, though I might be leaning toward...Great Barrier Reef, perhaps?
Night Three of #YellowstoneLive on @NatGeoChannel is minutes away at 9 ET. It’s been another remarkable day here—photos don’t lie—and the night figures to be the same. Hope you’ll join us.
Our office for Night Two of #YellowstoneLive on @NatGeoChannel, on the way at 9 ET. It’s been quite a day thus far—and should be quite a night. Hope you’ll join us....
One thing you quickly learn here in Yellowstone: the park always wins.
