Vinnie Cugini was honored at Aquinas Academy tonight for becoming the WPIAL's all-time leading scorer Tuesday. And guess who showed up? None other than previous record-holder Tom Pipkins! Very cool! Pipkins didn't show Tuesday because he wanted to let Cugini "have his moment."
@colin_dunlap As am Physical Education Teacher, I'm offended. As per our professors at IUP, "It's phys ed not gym. Gym is a place." That said, who cares? As a coach, I mostly wear slacks and polos, but during winter, it's not uncommon to dress like a more approachable Belichek.
@EdBouchette I feel like I'm in the minority, but I don't even want them too. With as mediocre as so many teams are, I'd prefer they end w a higher draft pick. What good is 7-10 but still draft in the mid-teens?
@CoachTManes I also bought a cheap WWE plastic belt from Walmart and put our block Q over the logo. Each Monday it was awarded to the Defensive player of the game. It didn't have to go to most tackles, but was awarded to the person who made "the" defensive play. They fought over that thing.
@CoachTManes Our starting defense was known as "The Reapers". We had helmet stickers made for just those 11-15 who earned it. The decal was very similar to that of the Sons of Anarchy logo, minus the gun. They loved it and it was a special badge of honor. By year's end, they were still elite
@CoachTManes Won the state title in PA in 2017 using a 4-4 with 2ts. I never 2-gapped them, we slanted every play and that was their gap. It was all predetermined based on scouting tendencies week to week.
@FrankieWasco@Steelersdepot So in the 2.1 seconds he had they ball, he remembered that if they score and go up by 10 w 30 seconds left that they'd have to kick off to Patterson and was fearful that Atlanta would get a td, onside kick and fg (or better) w 0 to's?
