“Brad [Stevens] is probably getting a lot of the criticism. I wasn’t thrilled with the way he facilitated some of the conversations. I definitely think there’s more to it.”

Jaylen Brown says he didn’t like that the Boston Celtics didn’t tell him why he was being traded.
“I wasn’t thrilled with how the conversation was facilitated. I did feel like it was a lack of respect. At one point it was fine, and then out of nowhere it just went left. I definitely think there’s more to it. There definitely is more to it. I know Brad is getting a lot of criticism, but I just wish more of it could have been explained. I just wish they had the respect to tell me exactly what it was, and I would have understood and respected that… Some of the guys have already reached out from the Celtics, some of the young guys, so I appreciate them… The guys I was able to build with, those guys who reached out to me, all told me, ‘It was a pleasure to play with you, and I appreciate everything that you helped me with,’ so that’s the stuff that gives you more motivation to keep going.”
Jaylen Brown said he tried to enter the Boston Celtics facility after he was traded but his key card was rejected.
“I went up to the facility, my key card got rejected, damn I just wanted to see if it was real, packed me up bro”
