Growing up with no parents, or with only one parent, changes you in ways people will never fully understand. You learn to be strong too early. You learn to survive before you even learn to live. You learn to carry responsibilities that were never meant for a child.
You don’t get the luxury of falling apart. You become your own support system. You become your own motivation. You become the person you needed.
And even though it hurts, even though it leaves scars, it also builds something powerful inside you. It builds resilience. It builds discipline. It builds hunger for a better life.
So if you grew up like that, just know this: you are not “too much.” You are not “cold.” You are not “hard to love.” You are a product of a life that forced you to mature faster than most.
And the fact that you’re still standing… means you’ve always been strong.
