Would have loved Blues to have tried to sign this lad. Top end of the league, if not higher level player. Surprised by the move but a great signing for Stoke. These are the sort of signings we need to see this summer #bcfc
@badgers_back@Rob89bcfc@BCFC@BCFCTickets They’ve had to report my issue to ticketmaster to try and fix apparently. Not too bothered for this game as I can call and get them tomorrow but will cause a nightmare for cup and away games if they don’t fix it
Never known a club make it so hard to give them money. Will let me assign tickets to everyone in my network but can’t buy a ticket for myself. Shambles as always #bcfc
@Gary06634239 It’s not about one player. We’re in the same position with Ducksch. They’ll try to move on Kyogo and Fujimoto as well. With Osman going back that’s 5 signings in attacking positions we’d need before you look at anything else
Really got to re-think our recruitment. Paying players an absolute fortune with promises of promotion and then off loading them all is nonsense. Going to leave us needing another big rebuild yet again. Should be building a strong team over time not restarting every summer #bcfc
🚨🇯🇲 Demarai Gray has an exit clause into his contract to leave by July 10, with several clubs already making approaches.
Birmingham City winger could be on the move in case of good proposal.
@_chris96bcfc@joephinton You’re probably right. My point was less about Stansfield individually & more about how we’re going to have to sign a decent amount of players anyway because recruitment was so crap last season, without selling players who are actually good enough to be here as well
@_chris96bcfc@joephinton We can’t keep ripping the squad up every summer. If he went, along with Gray, Kyogo, Ducksch, Fujimoto and Osman going back, we’d need 6 signings to fill those gaps before you even look at the rest of the team. It’s not sustainable to do that every summer
@bluemachinepod With Stansfield’s 2 goals in 30 and Priske’s 1 in 17, do we stick with them as a front two next season in the hope it grows into something? Or is a goalscorer a priority and one of them has to make do with a place on the bench? Or both if we also want a proper 10.
Absolutely useless today. Davies hasn’t been blameless at times this season, but too many wanting to shovel all the blame at his door when so many signings under performed. Doyle is very high on that list. Give me Paik playing with his dodgy shoulder every day of the week #bcfc
TD has probs made his last appearance for us. He should have been number one on the teamsheet most weeks, a class player at this level, and will shine for Wolves as an 8 in a three man midfield. He's been Criminally underused due to CD's stubbornness imo. Wish him the best. #bcfc
@RyanDeeney2194 I think it’s shown us to be exactly where I thought we were all season. Slightly better than half the teams in the league. I think if the results had been a bit more evenly spread we wouldn’t have had some of the drama we’ve seen
@BrummieBrad @RyanDeeney2194 We’ve had two big blips in the season, along with the poor away form and that’s done us. Like you said frustrating. But there have been some good periods. Feels like the squad needs work but will probably depend on how many they can shift
Surrendered quite a bit of possession today against a team we would normally dominate the ball against. It’s too late for this season, might end up too late for his job, but Davies has shown he can set us up differently and it can be effective. Top performance #bcfc
@RyanDeeney2194 @BrummieBrad I’d nearly put my house on him not being here next season to be honest. Those rumours of him leaving will have come from somewhere, and without speculating on why he wasn’t in the squad today, we may not see him again.
@RyanDeeney2194 @BrummieBrad I think Solis is still very hot and cold, Osman still as raw as it gets and Panzo still rubbish. Vicente & Priske are the main ones, and the only ones still going to be here next season. Getting them up to speed for next season is the main thing & it seems to be working.
@BrummieBrad @RyanDeeney2194 It may well do,and he’s made mistakes for sure. I’ve been pretty strongly on his side until the last few weeks, I’m now not so fussed either way, but a strong finish and signs he’s adapting I wouldn’t be against him having the start of the season. Think I’m in the minority though
@RyanDeeney2194 @BrummieBrad Exactly. It’s easy to judge when we lose & say they should have played. But if they’d started and we’d still lost I’d argue he’d have been criticised even more for leaving out our only goalscorer and one of our more creative players.
