We're delighted to announce the signing of Lewis Milne from St Andrews United.

This is, of course, Lewis' second spell at the club, having made his professional debut for Cowdenbeath at the age of 17. He went on to make 117 appearances for The Blue Brazil, scoring 12 goals. He was part of the side that won the Championship Play-Offs in 2013/14, assisting all three goals in a 3–0 victory over Dunfermline Athletic at East End Park.

Following spells with Forfar Athletic, Perth Azzurri, Montrose, Raith Rovers, Stirling Albion, Brechin City and St Andrews United, the now 32-year-old midfielder has signed a two-year deal at Central Park.

Upon his return, Lewis commented "I'm really pleased to be back at Cowdenbeath FC. I enjoyed several great years at the club so returning feels a bit like coming home. It was a no brainer when the club approached me and I spoke to the gaffer, who I’ve played with previously. The club has always meant a lot to me and I'm excited to pull on the shirt again. I'm looking forward to seeing familiar faces, meeting the new players and staff. I can't wait to get started and see what we can achieve together."

With manager Paul McLean on the returning Milne "Delighted Lewi has decided to join us. He’s a player I know well from our time together at Stirling and feel he is exactly the type of experience we need to help the group progress. He's a top player with fantastic technical ability and great set play quality. A great guy who I’m looking forward to working with again."

Lewis, as we all know, is an excellent footballer and a player who we identified for a number of reasons.
