This should be marked as a paid partnership.

‘I’m not defending them’ then says a whole lot of words to talk around industrial scale fraud & £830m of financial doping.

City cheated, they knew exactly what they were doing & did it anyway. Pep's tainted no matter how you spin it.

[mattkandela @mattkandela]

Can't help feeling Burnham's language still downplays Man City findings. Still suggests the outcome is still up in the air in a way it isn’t. The appeal can only overturn the decision on specific grounds. It is not a retrial.

[Neil Atkinson @Knox_Harrington]

The process that considers the findings has considered them and has been entirely independent.

Unless the Prime Minister has been told otherwise by his friends.

[Josh @Josho8dx]

@XolidCity They haven’t been accused. They’ve been found guilty. And then they have the right to appeal this verdict. Stop with the slipperiness

[Adam @AdamJoseph]

“I said to them: ‘If you lie to me, the day after I am not here. I will be out & I will not be your friend any more. I put my faith in you because I believe you 100% from day one & I defend the club because of that’.”

Pep Guardiola's words, his ethics, they are all as fake as his ‘achievements’. A man so intrinsically linked to doping & cheating for 25 years. Morally bankrupt, but still being paid by City to this day.

[Adam @AdamJoseph]

For charges of this magnitude, City's owners must be forced to sell, with the club expelled from the Premier League, in lockstep with the EFL to refuse them entry.

They should also be fined £830m - the exact amount they overstated revenues in that time period. That money should flow down the footballing pyramid.

Not only that, prize money (£1.094 billion) was stolen. Alongside all trophies being vacated, that prize money will be used as a minimum in restitution to PL clubs.

And anyone involved should be banned for life. Nothing like this can never be allowed to happen again.

[Josh @Josho8dx]

@City_Xtra Yeah it’s painful for players and fans - or course the players and fans worked hard… but you have to bear in mind all those who lost out because of the orchestrated financial doping who would have won if city hadn’t cheated. What a mess but all anger and blame is for owners

[Josh @Josho8dx]

@Mcfc_page26 Everyone knows that. Everyone supports a team even referees. Would you prefer the selector and all panel members were city fans? The panel was approved by city. Stop gaslighting and accept the reality of your corrupt ownership

[Josh @Josho8dx]

@Joe_Rich @franchisexcl @TheSun What can we say, criminals love criminals

[Josh @Josho8dx]

@markl1705 @ManCity Yeah probably, avoiding the truth like 99% of Man City fans then

[Josh @Josho8dx]

@FPLrep0rts Dont minimise sustained organised cheating

[Josh @Josho8dx]

@tonythemanc @ijjysmith City agreed to the panel. The only reason the owners don’t think it was fair is because they lost the trial

[Josh @Josho8dx]

@tonythemanc No. It’s trial by independent comission, authorised by City… and a guilty verdict on almost every charge… and complete denial and obfuscation by the city owenership. Stop with the nonsense about the red cartel which is gas lighting. Wake up to the reality of city’s ownership

[Josh @Josho8dx]

@city_exclusives Stop turning the deeply corrupt actions of city’s owners into some “red caterel” led conspiracy. There is a situation of gross misconduct and total breakdown of trust. This is why people are reacting in the way they are. The ownership continuing is non viable.

[Peter @PeterD56927]

@Mcfc_page26 Suspect it’s heartbreaking for countless MC supporters as well! On the face of it the owners had cocked up big time pending of course the appeal! You can’t just ignore FFP if you don’t agree with it ! It’s akin to parking in a no parking bay because you feel it’s unfair!

[Josh @Josho8dx]

@GonnersBlood Fool

[Josh @Josho8dx]

@JAPAI25I @titoactiv Good point and then maybe Enzo costs £250m rather than £120m, the market inflates and all non doped clubs are fucked

[Josh @Josho8dx]

@titoactiv That’s a false equivalence. Debt isn’t automatically acceptable: FFP also regulates losses, wages and spending. The issue is whether funding and sponsorship income were genuine—not whether City chose debt or owner-backed money. A different breach doesn’t excuse the one proven.

[Josh @Josho8dx]

@mrdaniel989 Yes. Everyone knows that. A consultancy arrangement involving Roberto Mancini may also have left around £12m in unpaid UK tax
