10 days of sobriety so far. Any suggestions on what to do at social events. For instance I’m going to West Virginia with a group of Marine buddies in September to camp. Not sure what to do to avoid alcohol in that setting

I would like to go sober. Today is day 1. My issue and concern is when I hangout with groups or watch the Dawgs in the fall I cannot figure out something else to drink besides beer. Any pointers?

Patrolling MSR Michigan, on August 19, 2006, a main supply route between Ramadi and Fallujah. Our first truck hit an IED and the patroll took small arms fire and rpg and then sniper fire and i was in truck 2 as the gunner. I felt the good Lord give me a slight shove and at that moment my legs gave then I was hit by the sniper in my Kevlar helmet. Now I live to tell the tell of the good Lord and what he has done for me.
